Happiness

What determines our level of happiness?  Most of us look to things outside ourselves for happiness.  We think if we just had that perfect companion, or the perfect job or enough money then we would be happy.  Granted these things are very nice, but they do not make you happy.  We believe that happiness is the result of outside circumstances.  However, this is an incorrect belief.  Happiness is a state of mind and an inner feeling.

Thoughts and feelings are interrelated.  It is our beliefs or what we are saying to ourselves that determines whether we are happy or unhappy.  There are two things that play a major role in our ability to be happy.  They are the stress that affects our perception and the beliefs that have been programmed into our thinking.

We often hear the phrase, “change your beliefs and change your experiences”.  This is correct. The problem lies within our inability to change our beliefs.  It doesn’t work to just tell yourself that you want to believe something different.  Even if you can logically understand that some of your beliefs are no longer true, they do not just go away.

The entire mind/body system is energy and our beliefs are a part of us.  In order to be able to change them we must release the stress that imprinted them into this energy.

We, at Unlimited Futures, have discovered a process for releasing stress and strengthening the entire mind/body system.  As the stress is released the mind/body system begins to heal itself, then strengthen itself, only then are we able to change our beliefs effectively.  At this point our perception automatically becomes clearer and we are able to see and understand how our beliefs create our experiences and only then are we actually capable of choosing to change our beliefs.  Only then are we able to understand that beliefs are only information that we have accepted as truth.  They are just information, but they have a profound effect on our experiences.  They are information that we have accepted, and we can refuse to continue to accept them.

We begin to see everything more clearly and our self talk changes.  We begin to understand that we get to decide what we want to believe, and we can make choices according to what is valuable to us rather than what someone else believes.  We begin to feel peaceful inside, and we see every aspect of our lives from a different perspective.  We do not have to force changes in our beliefs we just automatically see things more clearly and know that we have the power to make the changes in our beliefs that are helpful for creating what we want.   It is our ability to feel peace and experience joy that actually makes us happy.  It is an inner feeling and very different expectations or beliefs than what we had when we were over stressed.
