Are You Overstressed?

Are you over stressed?

Most people are.  Every time we make more demands on our minds and bodies than they can handle, the entire mind/body system becomes stressed.

Many people have stressful childhoods and then going to school, studying, working and trying to have a social life is also stressful.  Then it’s time to prove ourselves.  We usually want to have a family and also be financially successful.  Many times there are more demands for our time and energy than we can handle.  That is stressful, especially when relationships and/or work does not go as we had hoped.  All we know to do is keep pushing, and that creates more stress.  Until one day something has to give.

Unfortunately, we have not understood stress very well or the effects of stress on our minds and bodies.  We test the strength of metal or wood by stressing it or putting pressure on it and as more stress is put on the object it becomes weaker and weaker and at some point it will break.  This is also true of our minds and bodies.

When we are young we think we are indestructible.  Therefore, we pay little attention to what our actions may be doing to damage our health.  But the stress builds up all of our lives and as we start getting older it shows up in malfunctions and illness.  Since that is what most of us experience, we just call it “aging”.  It is not aging.  Aging is just how long we have been here.  Malfunctions and illness are stress damage being manifest in the functioning of our minds and bodies to the degree that it finally gets our attention.

This can start at any age. Stress damages our entire mind/body system and the more stress we experience the less capable we become, and the more difficult it is to fulfill our needs and desires.  Since few people understand this, we keep pushing, creating more stress until something breaks.  It could be a total breakdown of the nervous system, or just occasional malfunctions that causes us to make mistakes, over react or fall into any number of defensive habits like burst of temper, excessive drinking, smoking, eating, etc. the list goes on and one.

When this happens it is just a matter of time before something else breaks down.  It could be a breakdown in the immune system and illness occurs.  This, of course, shows up in many different ways.  It could show up as high blood pressure, heart problems, diabetes, cancer or any number of other illnesses.

We then see a doctor, but the only things doctors have to help us with are surgery and drugs.  This might alleviate the symptoms temporally, but it also causes more stress.

If nothing is ever done to release the stress and heal the damage done to the mind/body system by it, the entire system is still weak and will inevitably malfunction again.

So what can be done?  Are we all doomed?  No!

Many years ago I was experiencing symptoms of an over stressed nervous system and had picked up a defensive habit that I knew was not in my best interest to continue.  So, I made a choice to stop, take stock of my life and make some different choices.

Fortunately, I discovered a simple process that when practiced daily, releases the built up stress that accumulates in the mind/body system and allows the entire system to heal the damage that has occurred from the stress.  This was wonderful and I continued to work with this process on a daily basis and discovered that once the stress has been released and the damage healed, this process also begins to strengthen the entire mind/body system.

My energy started increasing, my mind became clearer.  I started feeling younger and more confident.  Then I begin to discover abilities that I didn’t know existed before.  I realized that I could intuitively know things.  I could see and understand complex systems.  I could see the interconnectedness of everything.  I could see that there are laws of nature or principles of life that governs how we each create our own experiences.  I had no way of communicating this knowledge, but I could live my life from this level of understanding and my whole life changed.  As a result of this I have been able to create a much healthier, happier and more fulfilling life than I had ever dreamed possible.

I had read about such experiences in the works of Abraham Maslow, but this advanced level of functioning was certainly new to me.  Maslow was the first psychologist to study healthy people and he found that there are much higher levels of health and functioning possible for us than most people ever experience.

What I now know is that this advanced level of functioning is possible for everyone.  It is simply a matter of priorities.  Due to our lack of understanding about how stress affects every aspect of our health and experiences we just keep stressing ourselves instead of making a choice to put our health first.  Releasing the stress and strengthening ourselves requires a full commitment, and must come first in our lives.

We all know that as our health goes, so goes our happiness and success.  If we chose to just keep trying to make things happen from an overstressed place, we become less and less capable and life gets harder and harder.

You are now making a life or death choice.  I don’t mean to be melodramatic but choosing to begin to work with a process for releasing your stress is making a choice to improve your health and every aspect of your life.  Choosing to ignore the symptoms of stress that you are feeling is agreeing to the continued destruction of every aspect of your life.

You may say, well, there surely are healthy, happy, successful people who do not work with this process.  That is true and if you are one of them then this is not for you, but if you are feeling the effects of stress, this is a process that works to release that stress and move you into a much more advanced level of functioning, and it is available for you to begin working with today.

The process I discovered immediately starts releasing the stress and healing the damage it has done.  What you experience once you make this process a daily habit, in your life, is that you become more and more capable and life gets much, much easier and more enjoyable.

Within a relatively short period of time you actually become strong enough to start experiencing what is now being called our right brain abilities.

Our left brain abilities like reason and logic, linear thinking and verbal communication are limited, but since we have not realized that we could have access to anything more, we keep pushing rather than stopping and asking if there isn’t a better way.  When you do, just like I did, you discover that there is a better way and we all have abilities that can be very useful in helping us create a much better life for ourselves.

Your future is truly unlimited, but the place to start to realize that is by making a firm commitment to releasing the stress that is stored in your mind and body and making that choice first and foremost in your life.

I am happy to share the process I discovered for releasing stress and strengthening the entire mind/body system with you.  I have shared this process with thousands of people over the years and it has totally changed their lives.

I have explained this process in detail and provided step-by-step guidelines in my book entitled Unlimited Futures: How to Understand the Life You Have and Create the Life You Want.  I have also created a CD, DVD and a Companion Workbook to help you get started.

In addition we now have our Core Course on DVDs so you can experience working this process with others right in the comfort of your own home.  You may also download a free introduction to this course by simply clicking in the box on the side of this page requesting it.

Once you start experiencing this amazing growth process we also provide courses that you can attend to accelerate this natural evolutionary process.
