I am willing to speculate that a majority of people answered NO to this question.
Why do we believe in lack? – Because we have experienced it. – Why have we experienced it? – Because we believed in it. This is how the creative process works.
Our beliefs guide our thoughts and feeling, which demand our attention and create our actions which produce our experiences. Therefore, we will always experience whatever we believe. It is inevitable! If we want to change our experiences, we must first change our beliefs.
We have lots of programming about money. If you believe in and experience lack it is due to an incorrect belief.
Let’s examine how we might better understand this. If we bring anything back to its origin and simplest form it becomes much easier to understand.
Let’s take a deeper look at money – how it came to be – and its real value
Years before money was invented, we bartered. We would give what we could produce to someone who could produce something different that we wanted.
We all have talents and abilities and we use them to produce whatever we have chosen to focus our attention on. What ever that is will benefit us and others. Others will produce other things that we need or want.
For example, you raise chickens. Your neighbor builds bicycles. You want a bicycle so you offer your neighbor a dozen chickens for a bicycle. If he thinks that is fair – you have a deal. Both parties have gained. Now you have chickens and a bicycle and he also has bicycles and chickens.
This system worked, but we wanted to trade things with more people, so we invented money as a means of exchange. The money would represent something else of value. The money itself had no value, but it represented something of value. In the beginning money was backed by gold.
This worked fine and gave us much more flexibility for trading. The problem came when over time we forgot that the money itself was not of value. It just represented something of value and allowed us to trade our products or services with many more people.
We begin to believe that if we had enough money, we could get whatever we wanted. That, of course, wasn’t true. Money can only buy material things. There are many things we want that may actually be more important to us than material things. For example, love and friendship.
But we overlooked that as we became obsessed with the accumulation of money. We moved from a simple transaction to something more complicated that the intellect really is incapable of following. We simply got lost in the complexity.
You may be saying. If I had enough money, I would be able to get what I want. That may be true, but I know lots of very wealthy people who are very unhappy. It isn’t the money that is responsible for their unhappiness, it is their beliefs.
They have believed that money will do much more than it can do. So many people devoted their lives to accumulating money at the expense of other things that they learned in time was actually more important. An example of that is their health, and often their relationships.
Having lots of money gives you a new job, you must protect it. Where do you keep it, so it is safe? We are very aware that you can lose lots of money very fast in many different ways.
What we want is never money. It is just a means of exchange. We need it or want it to use to get whatever we want. Money is energy just like everything else we might want in our lives.
Where did money come from? Money, just like everything else started as an idea – a thought in someone’s mind that turned into a belief that they could provide something beneficial. That belief created the thoughts and feelings which produced the action that resulted in money – the verification of that belief or idea.
Everything in the material world originated as an idea – a vibration in energy. Everything new started from an intuitive idea or though.
You have the ability to receive intuitive ideas, follow through with them and create whatever you chose. That is how all of the material world is created.
When we follow something back to its origin, as I said, it becomes simple and much easier to understand.
You can create money or anything you want to use it for if only if you can believe it. I am sure we have all heard the statement made by someone who had discovered this long ago. “IF YOU CAN BELIEVE IT YOU CAN ACHIEVE IT”. This is a very true statement.
We are now discovering that we have been taught, believed and experienced many, many world beliefs that simply are not true.
Our job now is to free ourselves from these untrue beliefs, which is a major challenge. Nevertheless, it is what we must do to develop our potential to create the lives we want for ourselves.
The exciting thing about devoting your time and focus to developing your ability to create what you chose is that no one can take it away from you. It is just a part of who you are. In fact, I’m pretty sure that you can actually take it with you when you leave earth school.
And it is the only true security any of us can have.
